Boogie Down Productions - Criminal Minded

I would be very interesting to see where Boogie Down Productions and KRS-One would be right now if DJ Scott LaRoque hadn't been murdered. This is one of the great hip hop albums from its time. The production is tight and KRS-One has personality to burn. Straight street level hip hop doesn't get any better than this.

9mm Goes Bang - This is one of KRS-One's best songs but definitely does not go with his current style. Early hints of the gangsta rap style that would eventually hit a few years later.

The Bridge is Over - Nas vs Jay-Z, 50 Cent vs Ja Rule. Rap beefs are nothing new and this is the Boogie Down Productions response to MC Shan's statement in his song 'The Bridge' that hip hop started in Queensbridge. Classic dis song.
