X2 is a solid step for the X-Men franchise and in many ways it is better than the first film. Since the characters were introduced the last time around we can spend more time on the story this time out. It is just an OK story, but I still enjoyed the details which were added to many of the characters. Since Wolverine has always been one of the more interesting (and popular) characters we get into his background quite a bit. The opening scene is outstanding and reintroduces the character of Nightcrawler. (A mainstay in the comic book but missing from the first film) This scene may be the most fully realized in either film. Definitely worth your time if you are either a fan of the first film or the comic book series.
