love Don Siegel films and his collaboration with Clint Eastwood
on the original Dirty Harry movie is one of my favorites. Two
Mules for Sister Sara isn't quite up to that level but it has
some good things going for it. Clint plays another Man With
No Name who is only in it for the money. He comes across Sara
(Shirley MacLaine) just as she is about to be raped by some
bandits. Clint nicely takes care of the bandits and when Sara
comes back fully dressed she is in a nuns outfit. Clint agrees
to take her along with him but his brief glimpse of her practically
nude adds a lot of sexual tension in the air for the rest of
the movie. The plot moves along OK from there and ends with
a big battle sequence that for some reason feels like it should
have been a whole lot better.
