After Marnie the quality of Hitchcock's films definitely started to drop. Torn Curtain is fairly stale and lifeless on the whole, but the scene in the farmhouse where the enemy agent is murdered is one of Hitchcock's greatest. Go in with lowered expectations and you will probably enjoy the film.
