had been quite a few years since I had had seen To Have and
Have Not and although I had good memories of the film, I was
amazed at how much more I liked it this time around. Cool story,
Bogart's character is full of great details and the screen burns
when Bacall and Bogart are both in a scene together. You can
definitely see the beginning of their real life relationship
in this film. The dialogue crackles in this film. The 'Put you
lips together and blow' scene is obviously very well known,
but Bacall's quips at Bogart when another woman comes on the
scene are some of the funniest and best written lines in the
film. A classic film from start to finish.
