I am a big fan of gangster/crime genre films and it is always great to see some one tweak the formulas (a least a little bit) to give an interesting new look. Gal (Ray Winstone) is a retired gangster living the high life in Spain. He is surrounded by friends and family and things couldn't be better. That is until Don (Ben Kingsley), an old "friend", show up and wants him to work on a job back in England. Gal has no desire to return to the life, but Don is not a man who takes no for an answer. Ben Kingsley as Don is on of the most menacing characters ever put on film and Kingsley's Oscar nomination was well deserved. I won't give away if Don gets his way or not but the film will more and hold your interest.

Both video and audio quality on this DVD are outstanding. Nice color reproduction and the blacks are nice and deep. Surrounds are effectively used used through out the film.

The commentary on the DVD is interesting, but a little bland. Why the director was not included I do not know. The featurette has some interesting interviews. Overall the extras provide a solid finish to a cool movie.
