Rope is one of Hitchcock's most experimental films. It basically consists of a series 10 minute uncut takes with various dissolves into furniture, etc. to make it seem like one 81 minute uncut take. At times it gets a little stagey, but you can't fault the guy for trying something new. The story is based on the Leopold-Loeb murder case. (Two college buddies that murdered someone just to see what it was like)
