Within the first 30 minutes of Monster you will understand why Charlize Theron won an Oscar for her performance. A complete transformation is almost understating what she does in the role of Aileen Wuornos. For those of you who do not know about Aileen Wuornos, she is one of the first woman serial killers in US history. During the opening titles we get a sense of the abuse Aileen had dealt with all her life, but this movie explores the time when the killings began and the one true positive thing in her life, her relationship with Selby Wall (Christina Ricci). Anyway that you look at it, this is a must see film.
