SUMMARY
The Lady Vanishes is the next to last movie Alfred Hitchcock made
in England before coming to the United States. Along with The 39
Steps (1935) it stands as his crowning achievement from that period
in his career. The Lady Vanishes is full of humor and suspense and
is closer in tone to something like North by Northwest than Vertigo.
Even at its most implausible this film is so entertaining that you
just go with its flow. It is worth every bit of the 97 minutes it
will take you to watch it.
