The first time I saw Kill Bill Volume 2 in the theaters I remember thinking that it seemed to move a little slow. Having recently sat down and watched this DVD, I was amazed at how well the pacing actually worked. I can only think that since I already knew the plot this time around, I could really pay attention to the dialogue and all the character details this episode adds. The scene between Uma Thurman and David Carradine, right before the massacre, really stood out this time around. Great dialogue and the intensity in Carradine's eyes is scary. I honestly think he deserves a Best Supporting Actor nomination, he is that strong. Where Volume 1 was an all out revenge flick, Volume 2 steps back and fills in a lot of character details, which really adds depth to the overall story.
