Fireworks is a very odd movie. The main character played by actor/director Takeshi Kitano is kind of a "Dirty Harry" pushed completely over the edge. The movie is filled with all kinds of violent imagery, but at the same time it has a very subtle sense of humor and is very contemplative on life and dealing with extreme loss. It has to be seen to be completely comprehended, but it would be well worth your time to add this to at least your rental list.
