While Citizen Kane is consistently named as the greatest film of all time, Casablanca often gets the accolades as the greatest movie of all time. (If you watch both you should be able to see the difference between a film and a movie.) Casablanca is one of those rare movies that doesn't lose anything with age. No matter how many times you see it the story gets us involved. The characters, even on a first viewing, are both familiar and unique, and although the movie is not shot with any specific visual flair, director Michael Curtiz makes sure the film does not have a wasted shot.

The Maltese Falcon is the movie that made Humphrey Bogart a star and Casablanca is the movie that cemented his legend for the ages. Ingrid Bergman gives a great performance as Elsa and she is absolutely stunning in this movie. (If you are guy and don't say wow to yourself during her first close up you may want to check your pulse.) As an audience there is no way you cannot feel Rick's pain when Elsa stumbles back into his life.

The extras in this two disc set included two commentaries and numerous documentaries. Casablanca is film that should be in every movie lovers collection so go pick it up today.
