SUMMARY
The Bourne Identity is a solid, "realistic" action picture. Bourne (Damon) is pulled out of the ocean by a fishing boot with two bullet holes in his back and no memory of who he is. In his search he finds that he is a highly trained assassin and that a variety of people are trying to kill him. The movie never gets outside of itself by over doing the action sequences and the quick scene in the park where Bourne rediscovers his physical abilities is so perfectly shot it makes watching the movie worth it all by itself.
