SUMMARY
Blow Out is director Brian DePalma's great tweaking/reworking
of the set up from the late 1960's film Blow Up. In that film,
a photographer accidentally takes some pictures of a murder
and in Blow Out John Travolta plays a sound effects man who
records a car accident that was actually a murder. Watching
this film again for the first time in a while I can see a few
of the odd logic jumps taken towards the end of the film, but
it is still one of my favorite films by Brian DePalma for all
the other great moments it has in it. |
